Should I give my baby organic baby food?

Find out about the controls, tests and strict regulations your baby’s food is subject to.

All food for children under three has to meet strict legal standards, and these apply equally to organic and non-organic baby food. So there are no differences between the two types in terms of safety and quality.

The regulations1 set strict standards for the ingredients that can be used when making baby food and these apply equally to organic and non-organic baby food. The law also restricts the use of pesticides in baby food ingredients. Very limited types of pesticides may be used. In addition, any pesticide residues on non-organic food are kept to levels so low they are almost non-existent.

All Heinz baby food is produced to strict guidelines that go beyond the legal standard and only the highest quality ingredients are used. We never use any artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
