Question
My baby will be 1 in november. She enjoys her milk and has 6oz on waking, 6oz at 2pm and 9oz before bed. She also has 2oz on cereal and 1 yoghurt a day. Does it matter she still has a large amount of milk as I understand the amount of milk babies need drops after the age of 1.
Answer
Milk is a fantastic source of nutrients like calcium for
your little one but it's important that it does not fill up little
tummies too much so that your baby doesn't eat enough food. It's
important to give your little one 3 meals and 2 nutritious
snacks a day, along with 500-600ml of their usual milk.
From the age of 12 months, you can switch to giving full fat
cow's milk but it's still important to ensure that your toddler
eats 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.
