Question
How can I boost my iron a bit more?
Answer
Iron is a really important nutrient, especially when you are
pregnant. It helps your baby's brain to develop and is also needed
to stop you becoming anaemic in pregnancy, which can make you feel
more tired and out of breath.
Iron can be found in red meat, which is a great source but it
can also be found in green vegetables like spinach and broccoli,
apricots and other dried fruit and also in pulses like lentils and
beans. When eating foods other than red meat, you can help the
iron to be absorbed by also having some food that contains vitamin
C like orange juice.
