How do I get a 3 to 4 year old to eat healthy food instead of chocolate and sweets.

It's not unusual for children to prefer sweet foods instead of healthy ones! Here are some tips to help you get your little one eating more healthily:

 

Try to avoid buying lots of chocolate and sweets - if they're not in the kitchen, there's no temptation to eat them!

Set a good example by eating lots of healthy snacks like fruit, wholemeal toast or yoghurts instead of sweets and biscuits.

Try to encourage healthy eating by giving lots of praise when your little one eats healthy foods but don't offer sweet treats as rewards for healthy eating - this can encourage unhealthy eating habits in the long run.
