Question
My daughter is going to be 6 months old in 2 weeks. She is getting her first bottom tooth and my question is when do I introduce solids? She is already on pureed food but when can I introduce food with maybe soft lumps in that will soften in her mouth.
Answer
Most children can eat lumpy food with a mashed texture, such as
banana that you've mashed up with the back of a fork, by about 6-7
months.
I would advise waiting until your little one is about
6 and a half months of age and try giving her very
finely mashed banana. The lumps should be very small and soft
to avoid choking.

my articles here.
