I avoided the whole issue by giving my baby finger foods from day 1. He's my 4th and I wonder why I went through all that hassle with the other 3 when this works so beautifully. The only disadvantage is he won't let anyone else feed him!

A good idea of introducing babies to lumpier foods is bread soaked in a small amount of water with a stock cube for taste.. It doesn't completely soak the bread, which leaves small amount of bread to chew on

I've just started introducing lumps by using thicker purees, fingers crossed my little angel will like it!
