Time together

Relaxing mum to beIn the often hectic run up to the arrival of a new baby it’s important to find time to spend with your partner.

Take a break
This could be your last chance for a lazy, relaxing holiday together for – well – years.  Tuck away some romantic memories to see you through the busy times ahead.  If you go abroad, be aware that for most airlines, your partner will need a doctor’s certificate after 28 weeks.

Hands on
Your partner will really appreciate a massage during pregnancy.  Here’s how to do it.

  • Support her head. Kneel behind her to massage her neck muscles. Gently turn her head keeping it well supported. With the heel of your hand slowly massage downwards from her face.

  • Relax her neck. Slowly stroke up the back of her neck with both thumbs. Make circular movements away from the centre of the neck. Massage around the base of the skull.

  • Stroke her brow. Gently massage her forehead and temples with both hands. Using your fingers make light, circular movements from the centre of her forehead outwards.
