Cheesy Fish Pie


For the cheese sauce
  • 150ml fresh milk
  • 30g plain flour (optional)
  • 24g grated cheddar 

For the pie

  • 40g cod
  • 1 broccoli spear
  • 1 caluiflower spear
  • 1 medium potato


  • Heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius
  • Wrap the cod in foil with a little milk, then bake it for 25 minutes
  • Steam the broccoli and cauliflower while boiling the potato
  • Warm the milk on the hob, adding flour and stirring as it starts to boil
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese until melted
  • Take the cod from the oven, remove any bones then mash it, along with the broccoli, cauliflower and cheese sauce
  • Mash the potato separately
  • Add the potato to the top of the fish mixture and finish off with a sprinkle of cheese to taste
