Baby's Christmas Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 medium carrot (80g)
  • 1 small parsnip (90g)
  • 1 medium potato (120g) 
  • 50g broccoli florets
  • Small knob of butter
  • 65g cooked roasted turkey, very finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cranberry sauce

Method

  • Peel the carrot, parsnip and potatoes; cut into small dice. 
  • Cook in a small pan of boiling water for 10 minutes. 
  • Add the broccoli and cook for a further 5 minutes or until all the vegetables are tender.
  • Drain the vegetables and return to the pan, add the butter and mash until all lumps are small and soft. 
  • Add the turkey and cranberry and stir through. 
  • Serve at room temperature or warmed.
  • If serving to a little one around 6 months old, puree all ingredients together with a stick blender until smooth. If serving to a 10-12 month old, chop the vegetables into batons, which your little one can eat as a finger food or chop them into 1cm pieces before cooking until soft.
