Sweet Potato, Apple and Pork


  • 80g pork mince
  • 25g onion, finely chopped
  • 50g potato
  • 250g sweet potato
  • 1 small carrot (60g)
  • 30ml apple juice


  • Place the mince and onion in a non-stick frying pan and cook over a medium heat, stirring until beginning to brown. 
  • Mash into small but soft pieces
  • Meanwhile, peel the sweet potato, potato and carrot and cut into 5cm chunks. 
  • Add all three to the mince, along with the apple juice and 200ml of water.
  • Cover the pan, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes or until everything is tender. 
  • Drain off half the liquid. 
  • Mash everything else together to make a thick puree with small soft lumps. 
  • Serve at room temperature or warm.
